Bounce house on the beasts beneath my bed
The doctor said
No more monkeys jumping in my head

These monsters in my closet are all skeletons I’ve left behind
Collected by my own crimes

Not a ghost who haunts my window tonight
Is so willing to kiss bygones goodbye
As I

Break dance
Take the creaky floorboards stage
Pas de bourrée towards creepy footsteps
Chassé chase away

A woohoo!
Overpowers boo!
The witch cackles
Alas, I laugh louder
It’s a rap battle
Shush the whispers in the room
Sing in tune, we are wolves howling at the Moon

Ahwoo!
Not a bark across the darkness can fight
With as sharp of a bite as my bright smile

This disco ball shines the shadows off my walls
Pillow fights show those figments down the hall dissolve

Pitch black and white
Strobe lights eclipse the apparitions
Outside the shade of gray, they will die
Out of sight, out of mind

No appearance in the mirror is quite
As frightening as this fearless spirit of mine
Or these cheery, eerie eyes

Nightmares scare the wild into my dreams
Life is a scream
Lucid as it seems
